First Day Hurrah!

Summer is fun ... summer is swimming, heat, swimming, camps, and our favorite week ever -- MICHIGAN!

But we are all ready for the next season - school time and autumn.

Both children embraced their teachers and classrooms. Rhys is thrilled as he is with his neighborhood bestie this year ... and Claudia had six of her Kindergarten friends in her classroom.

We are getting into a good groove -- with reward charts in action, carrots like Pokemon Go hunts as the offerings, and we've made it through four weeks already!

(We live in the best neighborhood ... truly a parenting paradise.)

A little visitor from Third Grade came to spend the week with us. :)

New Kitchen

It's true! We have a new kitchen/dining room combo room!

After five years of talking about it, we finally saved up the money to pay cash, figured out the plans, and spent hours researching and purchasing all the items that go into it.

Who knew there were so many colors of grout?

Still a few pieces to work on ... but we love it!
