Bravery

Claudia demonstrates how she conquered her fear today and walked the tight rope at MBOT's children's garden.

It's a Gold Star Day

A pony ride for this horse-loving girl, followed by dress up with her BFF - and a dip in the 70 degree outdoor pool -- it truly was Claudia's Gold Star Day.

If only she could have bought a new pair of shoes…it might have gone platinum.

Last Day of Kindergarten

Farewell to Mrs. Silvey and the KS classroom! And Hello Summer Schedule -- pools, camps, Michigan and more!

Rhys said he will miss giving Mrs Silvey hugs every day.  I am missing my sweet young 5-year-old.

Bats in the Park

Batman visited a friend's birthday party - and he led the children up and down and across the playground.

Batman left after 30 minutes or so to fight the Joker in a tall building across the way - and Rhys kept looking for him to return. Sadly, he never did make it back with Robin but cake soothed their souls.

I, for one, was impressed by the very fit grandpa…wow!

Later, C and I discovered another neighborhood swing just waiting for Batgirl to give it a go. I love Spring.

Just Big Enough

Even though Rhys was jumping off platforms last summer, he was still too small to go down the indoor slide at the pool. But today he was just big enough…

Another milestone achieved!

One mile run

Rhys and his class are running the one-mile this week -- and guess who came in first from his classroom (not grade, but still amazing). We are so happy that he is happy with his result - and enjoys running. It's a great use of his endless supply of energy.

Six Down

Rhys - his teeth have given him (and us) some challenges but we are coming through it and he is still just as happy as ever to lose a tooth. Today marked his sixth visit from the tooth fairy - and we are one week post dental work.

Yesterday when we talked about sadness in life - and how everyone has sadness but it's what you learn from it that matters - Rhys said his teeth were his sadness.

I'm glad they can also be a source of some happiness, too! xoxox

Nature Trail - at dusk

…well sort of.  Claudia and friends enjoyed an after dinner event on the trail followed by roasting marshmallows. It was a drop-off event - and Claudia was SO excited.
